Harry E. Hull papers, 1898-1901.

Papers in this collection include biographical materials, newspaper clippings, appointments and other miscellaneous documents, correspondence (1911-1915), and speeches. A portion of the correspondence between 1914 and 1915 dealt wtih the Belgian Relief Association of Iowa. The speeches cover topics such as protective tariffs for farmers, the Post Office Department and the development of the Rock Island Arsenal.

Harry E. Hull of Williamsburg, Iowa (Iowa County) was a Republican congressman representing Iowa's second district from 1915-1925. He was born in New York and moved to Iowa in 1873. He farmed and engaged in the grain business near Williamsburg, Iowa. He served Williamsburg as an alderman (2 years), mayor (10 years) and postmaster (13 years). From the description of Harry E.
